WW1 Polish Eagle wz.17 without a crown

Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head was originally topped with a closed crown which was cut off in the period. Die Stamped. On the reverse are the remains of two mounting pins. Eagles of this type were usually worn on maciejówka hats. Worn during World War One and the Polish-Bolshevick War.
