Polish 1935 pattern rogatywka hat of a chaplain made in the period 1944-46 by Józef Kozłowski, Cap Master in Łódź, for the Polish People’s Army.

Square top made of four gabarine panels of olive color. Silver braid visible on the seams, as well as around the band. The band is faded (brown color), the original color of the band is purple, the color of the pastoral care (chaplain) of the Polish Army. On the front of the cap there is a pre-war Polish wz 19 eagle cap badge made of white metal by Skarbnik & Fishbein in Warsaw (eagle marked on the reverse) fastened via a threaded post and a nut spinner. On the band, three embroidered five-pointed stars indicating the rank of captain.

  Black leather chinstrap fastened with a buckle, fastened with two pre-war buttons with an eagle with a crown, a black fiber visor, with a brass silver plated rim. On the bottom of the visor there are visible abrasions from the thumb during the use of the cap.

Inside of the cap show visible traces of use, the sweatband made of thin black leather is slightly torn and loose in places. On the sweatband on the right side are visible initials of the owner BK. On the linere there is a diamond-shaped manufacturer’s label “Mistrz Czapniczy Józef Kozłowski Łódź, 10 Listopada 24”. .

The cap is in very good condition despite signs of use, the condition of the item is visible in the photos
