Photo showing General Władysław Anders, commander of the 2nd Polish Corps and General Oliver Leese, commander of the British 8th Army.

The photo was probably taken in June 1944, when the 2nd Polish Corps was given the right to wear the emblem of the British 8th Army. At that time, the unit symbols were “exchanged” between the commanders. In the photograph, General Leese can be seen wearing the patch of the 2nd Polish Corps on his pocket and General Anders wearing the patch of the 8th British Army on his pocket.

Interesting historical photo. Condition as in the photos.
