Pre-World War Two period Polish Air Force 1936 pattern eagle cap badge for Other Ranks and Non-Commissioned Officers. Made in Poland by Bronisław Grabski in Łódz, 1936-39.
A rare variant, produced circa 1936 with high-quality finish and fully marked by the maker “B.Grabski, Łódz”. The eagle is with an original protective spinner used on early variants. The eagle is bent to the shape of a pre-WW2 Polish air force cap.
Badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown, surrounded by a pair of Polish Hussars Wings to the sides.. A very fine original cap badge.
This version of the eagle is mentioned in the book by Tomasz Zawistowski. “Polskie Orły na Czapki 1919-39” on page 104, illustration 179.
