A scarce document, declaring Martial Law in Poland prior to the January Uprising of 1863. The Martial Law introduced by General Lambert was one of direct causes of the January Uprising. Introduced in the Polish Kingdom (part of the Imperial Russia) due to major patriotic riots in during which over 100 people were killed. A historic document which was distributed throughout the Polish Kingdom. Rare witness of these historical events.
