Scarce Polish Air Force Eagle made for the students of the Polish Air Force Mechanic School in Heliopolis near Cairo circa 1944. Sand cast eagle based on the french production Polish Air Force Eagle made in France 1939/40 made in Cairo by Szpitalinik. The eagle appears in to variant; one on a spinner (without the crown), and pair of lugs with pin (with the crown). The crowned examples are considerably rarer. Brass with remaining plating visible. Good condition as in photographs.
Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown, surrounded by a pair of Polish Hussars Wings to the sides .Fitted to the cap by a pair of lugs with pin on the reverse. A very fine and rare original cap badge.
