Special badge of the 10th Bridge Company, part of the 2nd Polish Corps under General Władysław Anders.
The badge is triangular in shape, with a rounded bottom corner. The obverse resembles an unfolded military engineer’s bridge, into which the letter “M” and the number “10” are incorporated, referencing the unit’s name (“10 Mostowa”).
The reverse is smooth, featuring a central post for a screw-back fastening. The round screw plate is marked with the manufacturer’s name: Bertoni Milan.
This is an original period badge, preserved in very good condition, with original silvering intact. A rare and highly sought-after item on the collectors’ market. Authentic examples are exceptionally difficult to find.
This particular badge belonged to Sapper Jerzy Sewastjan, a participant in the Battle of Monte Cassino, who was awarded the Cross No. 39992.
Dimensions: 25.5 mm x 17 mm.
