One of the rarest and most beautifully made eagle cap badges used by the Polish Home Army. These eagles were most likely made in the Żoliborz district of Warsaw and have been used in the Warsaw Uprising.

Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield, on the amazon shield with a “Anchor” “Kotwice” symbol of the Polish Resistance. The head is topped with a closed crown. On the reverse a brass wire. The eagle is slightly bent to fit a cap.

This version of the eagle is mentioned in the book by Tomasz Zawistowski.“Polskie Orły na Czapki 1939-45” on page 181, illustration 347.
