WW2 Rare Polish Eagle POW Camp Denmark 1945

Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. One-piece, made of aluminum. Visible counter die on the reverse. Eagle made in prison of war camp workshops in Denmark circa 1945. Visible holes attaching the eagle to the cap between the talons.

This eagle is described by Tomasz Zawistowski in the book entitled (Polish eagles for hats 1939-1945) on page 149, illustration 292.
