Description
Polish eagle cap badge made for the Polish Armed Forces in the West in Occupied Germany (British zone), including the 1st Polish Armored Division under General Maczek, the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade, and the Guard Company. Produced by an unknown workshop in occupied Germany between 1945-50.
This variant is not listed in Tomasz Zawistowski’s book “Polish Cap Eagles 1939-45.”
The badge features an eagle with outstretched wings, perched on an Amazonian shield. The eagle’s head is topped with a closed crown. The reverse has secondary fixing prongs, with the eagle showing visible die-struck features on the reverse.
