 Pair of sterling silver officer collar badges of the Carpathian Lancers (Ułani Karpaccy). Badges in the form of two palm trees with a crescent moon. Smooth reverse with two omega type loops. Marked with Egiptian silver hallmarks for Alexandria. Rare pair of officers wartime collar badges.

 The Carpathian Lancers regiment was formed in 1940 as part of the Independent Carpathian Rifle Division. Took part in the Siege of Tobruk. The unit later was incorporated into the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division, 2nd Polish Corps and took part in the Italian Campaign.
