WW2 Polish Virtuti Militari Cross Luxury Miniature – A.Bertrand

Miniature of the Virtuti Militari Cross, 5th class. Made in Solid silver by Arthus Bertrand in Paris. Extremely fine quality, specific three piece construction with front and back medallions applied. Silver and enamel. Original period ribbon.

 The ribbon ring is hallmarked with the maker “A.B & Cie” for Arthus Bertrand Paris. Good worn condition, enamel has some cracks and damage as on photographs. 

 This cross miniature belonged to an officer of the 11th Signals Battalion, 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders. Participants of the Battle of Monte Cassino.
