A World War Two period Polish Prayer book “With God for Faith and the Fatherland” published by the curia of the field Bishop of the Polish Army, printed in Glasgow. Used by soldiers of the 1st Polish Corps, 1st Armored Division and the Independent Commando Company stationed in Scotland.

The prayer book is bound in a burgundy leather binding. The top cover is decorated with three embossed symbols in silver: a cross, crossed sabers and a Polish crowned eagle with wings spread wide. The whole symbolizes God, Honor and the Fatherland. Inside, on the front pages, there is a representation of Our Lady of Częstochowa. The interior of the prayer book is loose, visible signs of use, condition as shown in the photos.
