Description
A Silver Cross of Merit, awarded for combat merits. This version was produced by Spink & Son in London. Made of silver, enameled. Original period ribbon included.
The award is shaped as a gold cross with arms covered in red enamel, featuring sun rays between the arms. In the center is a medallion with the initials RP (for Rzeczpospolita Polska, or the Republic of Poland).
The cross is housed in a rectangular red box, lined with fabric, with a manufacturer’s label (Spink & Son) visible on the upper lid. The box was produced after 1953.
