The Polish Scout Cross made in occupied Germany around 1946. Variant number 50 according to Tomasz Sikorski’s book “Krzyż Harcerski 1913-2013”. The rarity level is considered to be rarely encountered.

The badge is in the shape of the Virtuti Militari cross, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves, symbolizing strength, skill, proficiency, and knowledge. In the central medallion is a Fleur-de-lis, the international scouting symbol. The arms of the cross bear the motto “Czuwaj” (Be Prepared). The cross was designed by Father Kazimierz Lutosławski and his team after modifications. The Scout Cross is the only civilian decoration that can be worn on a military uniform.

Struck from a die. The reverse is smooth with an embossed series and award number: Upper arm X/N, lower arm “821”. Original nut spinner. Condition is good as shown in the photos.
