Rare Polish patch of the 1st Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment (1 Pułk Artylerii Przeciwlotniczej Lekki). Worn as an honour patch on the right sleeve below the Poland title. Issued to the regiment by the town of Exaarde/Eksaarde often (misspelled in Polish sources as Exoarde) in Belgium.
The 1st Polish Anti-Aircraft Regiment was formed on the 27th June 1943 as a part of the 1st Polish Armoured Division of General Maczek. The regiment fought in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany.
Patch in the form of a white shield with a black border and black V and gold crown.Signs of wear with a small hole, as on photographs.
