WW2 Polish Patriotic Sweetheart Plaque

 A World War Two period Polish Patriotic Sweetheart Plaque. Such plaques were given by Polish soldiers to households which housed them during the war and their sweethearts. This one is dedicated to “From Feliks to Miss Eleanor”.

 Plaque in form of a red and black shield (Polish Engineer Units Colours), with an applied ribbon in the Polish National Colours (Red & White). On the shield is applied a metal lead Polish crowned eagle with spread wings. Around the edge a round rope. 

 Condition as on photographs with signs of wear.
