Description
A World War Two period Polish Patriotic Ring. Ring made from horse hair and bone, stained.
. These rings were made during the Nazi German occupation of Warsaw and sold to raise funds for the underground movement. A similar ring in the collection of the Warsaw Uprising Museum, is documented to have been made in Pawiak prison and sold to raise money for prisoners in Pawiak.
In an interview, a Warsaw Uprising Jerzy Izydorek „Mały Zemsta”, mentioned a production of “horse hair and silver rings” in the Ujazdowski Castle during the war.
Such rings often were owned and worn by Warsaw Uprising Insurgets. Good used condition as in photographs.
