A votive in the form of a patriotic Polish gorget. The shield of the gorget features a stylized Jerusalem Cross in the center, with the Polish 1927 pattern coat of arms, showing the crowned eagle. Around the edge of the shield is an inscription in Polish: “From the Holy Land to Poland, Thus You Will Miraculously Return Us to Our Homeland.” At the top of the shield is a medallion with Our Lady of CzÄ™stochowa. A small plaque with the inscription “Votive” is attached to the chain.

The reverse is smooth, with the production location “Jerusalem” stamped at the bottom. The condition is good, as shown in the photos. A keepsake purchased and worn by soldiers of General Anders’ 2nd Polish Corps.
