Description
A unique side cap of a Polish Underground officer, most likely from the Warsaw Uprising. A dark steel side cap made of cloth, based on a wz.23 pattern side cap.
On the front there is a hand-made eagle made of steel, probably from a canned food can. A crowned eagle sitting on an amazon’s shield with the letters WP – Wojsko Polskie (Polish Army).
On the side there is a red and white pennant and three hand-embroidered stars for the rank of a captain. There are two hairpins attached to the cap, which suggests that the cap belongs to a woman.
Very good condition, as shown in the photos. A unique item that is very hard to find.
