A rare ID card from the early period of formation of the Polish Army in Scotland, issued on August 10, 1940 and signed by Colonel Stanisław Sosabowski, later general and commander of the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade.
Personal Identification Card issued to Lieutenant Szabłowski Roman, born on July 12, 1901, from the 4th Cadre Rifle Brigade, under the original name of the Canadian Rifle Brigade (it was intended to constitute a cadre nucleus for the Polish Army Formed in Canada).
At the bottom, the signature of the brigade commander – Colonel Sosabowski. Organizer and legendary commander of the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade, with which he fought in the Battle of Arnhem as part of the Operation Market Garden.
