World War Two period Polish cap eagle badge. Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. The amazon shield has an impressed letter U and number 12, for the 12th Lancers Regiment.

 Polish eagle used by the 12th Podolski Lancers Regiment of the 2nd Polish Corps. Plastic (Cellulose acetate) economic production made by Alfred Stanley & Son in Walsall, United Kingdom, pair of flat brass fixing wires. Marked on the reverse with the maker. 

These eagles are vulnerable to storing conditions hence are often damaged. This example is in good condition as on photographs
