Description
World War Two period Polish side cap eagle badge. Based on a J.R Gaunt of London eagle cap badge for the Polish Army in Exile. Most likely made in the United Kingdom by a jeweler.
Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. On the reverse a pair fixing wires. Soft Die stamped
The eagle is made from a silver alloy, a spectrometer test showed the composition as 34.28% Ag (Silver), and 43.55% Cu (Copper), 11.56 Zn (Zinc), & 9.91 Ni (Nickel): A very fine original cap badge.
