World War Two period Polish cap eagle badge. Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. On the reverse a safety pin. Sand cast.

 A 1939 pattern Polish eagle cap badge most likely made circa 1942 in Egypt, Alexandria. Used commonly by the Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade and the Officer’s Legion. Very good condition as in photographs. 

 This version of the eagle is mentioned in the book by Tomasz Zawistowski.“Orły do czapek w 2. Korpusie Polskim” on page 52, illustration 35.
