Polish eagle cap badge depicting an eagle with spread wings sitting on an amazon shield. The head is topped with a closed crown. On the reverse a threaded post and a spinner.

 Badge made by Samuel Kretschmer & Son of Jerusalem in Palestine circa 1942-45.This version of the eagle is mentioned in the book by Tomasz Zawistowski. “Orły do czapek w 2. Korpusie Polskim” on page 122, illustration 165.

52mm x 34mm, brass silver platedBadge belonged to Corporal Czesław Wasilewski, born in 1913, Army Number 1913-114-III. Took part in the Battle of Monte Cassino. Fought in the 6th Light Artillery Regiment of the 5 Kresowa Infantry Division.
