Description
A Polish Cross of Valour made for the Free Polish Army in Exile. Version made from bronze, produced in Great Britain by Spink & Son with an original period ribbon of the Middle East type. Version 20 according to the book by Grzegorz Krogulec “Krzyż Walecznych”.
The Polish Cross of Valor was awarded for bravery on the battlefield. The award is in the shape of a cross, with a Polish eagle in a crown with outspread wings in the center. The arms bear the inscription “Na Polu Chwały 1920” (On the Field of Glory 1920). The reverse features a sword and laurel wreath with the inscription “Walecznym” (To the Brave).
