A beautiful portrait photo of platoon leader Stanisław Wisznewski. Soldier of the 1st Infantry Division named after Tadeusz Kościuszko, the communist Polish Army under USSR.
Dressed in a wz.43 uniform, with a rogatywka cap with a communist eagle, the so-called “kurica”. On the chest is the Cross of Valor (version dated 1943, which is characterized by its shape and a large eyelet for the ribbon) and the Medal of Merit on the Field of Glory. On the reverse there is a dedication to his wife. Photo taken around 1945.
