A Polish bracelet commemorating the conquest of Monte Cassino by the 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders. Made in Italy around 1945-1946.

The central plaque with an elliptically rounded shape shows the hills with the ruins of a conquered monastery over which the Polish eagle is visible. A decorative ribbon is stretched below the whole and the inscription “M. Cassino – 18 -V-1944” below it. The remaining elements of the bracelet consist of symbols:

  • 6th Lwów Infantry Brigade,
  • 14th Wielkopolska Armored Brigade,
  • 2nd Warsaw Armored Division,
  • 5th Kresowa Infantry Division,
  • 2nd Polish Corps,
  • 8th British Army,
  • 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division,
  • 7th Infantry Division,
  • Independent Commando Company,
  • Command of the Polish Army in the East.

  Very good condition, as shown in the photos, covered with a rich patina.
