Description
A round medal, the obverse shows in the center the crown eagle cap badge of the Polish Army, around the edge an inscription in Polish “For our freedom and yours”. The reverse shows a view of St. Peter’s Square and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican, and dates 1939-1944.
Polish commemorative medal made in Italy (Rome?) In 1944/45, sold as a souvenir of “pilgrimage” to the Vatican.
