WW2 Polish Books – Battle of Monte Cassino 3 Vol. Wańkowicz – First Edition

A set of three volumes of the legendary book by Melchior Wańkowicz “The Battle of Monte Cassino”, in the first edition printed in Italy in the years 1945-47.

The publication was written by the eminent author of Polish literature of the 20th century, Melchior Wańkowicz, an eyewitness described in history and situation books, serving during the fights in Italy with the 2nd Polish Corps as a correspondent. The three volumes contain nearly 2,000 photographs commemorating the battles of the 2nd Polish Corps of General Anders..

Extremely rare collector’s item, in good condition, as shown in the photos. 

A hard cover made of canvas, on the obverse of the cover, in the central part, there are visible contours of the Monte Cassino cross and Polish military eagles.
