A first print of the legendary book by Melchior Wańkowicz “The Battle of Monte Cassino”. Volume II published in Rome, 1946.
The publication was written by the eminent author of Polish literature of the 20th century, Melchior Wańkowicz, an eyewitness described in history and situation books, serving during the fights in Italy with the 2nd Polish Corps as a correspondent.
A hard cover made of canvas, on the obverse of the cover, in the central part, there are visible contours of the Monte Cassino cross and Polish military eagles.
