  Polish badge of the 19th and 20th Polish Infantry grouping in France. Badge with an extremely low number (20). More than 2,000 of these badges were awarded.

Two piece badge minted in white metal and brass. The badge is an isosceles cross with the date 1939 on the upper arm and the date 1945 on the lower arm.

  In the center of the cross there is a round shield with an eagle in the center. Around the shield there is an embossed inscription placed on a wreath of oak leaves, (POUR VOTRE LIBERTE ET LA NOTRE), meaning “For Yours and Our Freedom”.

Two swords pointed downwards are visible between the arms. The reverse of the badge with a visible die-stamp, a visible trace of the fastening of the safety pin, the badge number (20) is visible below, and the manufacturer’s stamp (CH. Isler. Fabricant Strasburg).
