World War Two Polish Pilots Qualification Wings known in the Polish Air Force as “Gapa”. Badge in the form of a flying eagle holding a laurel crown in its beak. Original chain with a hook.
Rare sand-cast example, crudely made with rough finish to the reverse. Silver plated, with a threaded post and spinner. Version produced most likely in the Middle East for the Polish Air Force units which very few were stationed. The few included the Polish Flying Team known as Skalski’s Circus.
