A Polish badge of the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division. The badge was individually bent into concave shape, an unusual example.

Badge in the shape of Monte Cassino cross, with an applied christmas tree (Symbol of the 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division). Below the tree is the Tobruk badge, referring to the origins of the division from the Independent Carpathian Rifle Brigade. To the upper arms of the cross is the abbreviation 3DSK, standing for 3 Dywizja Strzelców Karpackich meaning 3rd Carpathian Rifle Division.

The reverse of the badge is smooth with a threaded post and spinner with the maker (F.M Lorioli, Milano-Roma). Around the post an inscription “Wiara, Wytrwałość, Zwycięstwo” meaning Faith, Persistence, Victory. Badge designed by Second Lieutenant Zygmunt Ochnio.
