Description
Parachutist Badge of the Home Army, intended for the Cichociemni – the 316 elite paratroopers of Section VI of the Commander-in-Chief’s Staff who were dropped into occupied Poland during World War II.
The badge depicts a diving eagle clutching a golden laurel wreath in its talons, with the “Fighting Poland” symbol (anchor emblem) at the center of the wreath.
This badge was officially introduced by the Ministry of National Defence of the Government of the Republic of Poland in Exile on February 7, 1954. Produced by the Sphinx workshop of Mieczysław Białkiewicz in London.
