An outstanding set of documents belonging to a participant of the Warsaw Uprising, an officer serving in the Protective Unit of the Military Publishing Works (WZW).
The set includes:
- A document dated October 1st, 1944, informing about the awarding of the Silver Cross of Merit with Swords during the Warsaw Uprising. The document clearly shows the stamp of the Command of the Armed Forces of Country – Staff VI (Press and Publishing Department) and the handwritten signature of Lieutenant Kmita.
- A retyped copy of the previous document, regarding the awarding of the Silver Cross of Merit with Swords.
- A Polish People Republic certificate for the Silver Cross of Merit with Swords, issued on December 27, 1969, in Warsaw.
- A certificate from the Liquidation Commission of the former Home Army Central Area, informing that on September 20, 1945, the individual fulfilled the obligation of disclosure. The document bears the signatures of the Chairman of the Commission and an Observer from the Ministry of Public Security.
