A pre-war cigarette case gifted to Colonel Julian Las-Kulczycki during the time when he was the head of the Gendarmerie Department in the Infantry Department of the Ministry of Military Affairs in 1928. Decorated among the others, with the Virtuti Militari Cross, the Cross of Valor and other decorations. The soldier of the Polish Legions of Józef Piłsudski. From the beginning of the Polish Army, he was closely associated with the Gendarmerie.
Rectangular cigarette case, outer sides decorated with a vine motif. Obverse decorated with foliage next to which there is a stylized monogram of the owner, consisting of the letters “J” and “K”. Made in silver by Gustaw Sosnowski’s workshop in Warsaw.
Inside, an elegantly engraved dedication “To my beloved colleague, Colonel Julian Las-Kulczycki, Warsaw on February 16, 1928 “
