A Polish patriotic gorget made by Wiktor Gontarczyk (famous badge maker) of Warsaw. Made from brass, silver plated. 

 On the obverse, Our Lady of Częstochowa is surrounded by patriotic decorations in the form of Polish banners and eagles.In the bottom right part of the gorget, near the edge letters WG – Wiktor Gontarczyk.

 Such gorgets were common gifts in the pre-WW2 period. Similar gorgets were worn by the soldiers of Polish Anti-Communist Resistance on the their pockets. 

 Great condition with signs of use. All details in the photographs.
