  Order of Polonia Restituta, 5th class, made by the workshop of Wiktor Gontarczyk. Order of the “Rebirth of Poland” was established in 1921 to reward merits in the service of the State and society.

The order is in the shape of a gilded cross with white enameled arms, with balls at the ends of the arms. In the center of the cross, on a round red, enamelled shield, there is a stylized 1919 pattern crowned state eagle. On the rim there is a gilded inscription “POLONIA RESTITUTA”. The reverse of the cross is gilded, with the date 1918 inscribed in the center on a round enameled shield.

Upper arm cross with visible loss of enamel, repaired with white paint. Minor damage to other arms. Original ribbon. Condition as in the photos
