A rare Polish eagle cap badge for a Navy Officer from the period of the Second Polish Republic.
This pre-war emblem is characterized by details such as the notably concealed laurel leaves, the crown in the golden bullion thread (without the red cushions in background), the substantial thickness and convexity, and the high-quality craftsmanship. It is an unusual variant with a metal anchor, which is more commonly seen in Western-made versions, but other stylistic features clearly indicate pre-war production. This is a rare and highly sought-after piece.
The emblem features an eagle with outstretched wings, perched on a blue Amazonian shield with an anchor. The eagle is crowned with a closed crown. The entire design is surrounded by a golden laurel wreath set against a dark navy background. The eagle has been “refreshed” at some point with silver paint applied over the silver bullion thread. The condition shows signs of use as seen in the photos.
