Pre World War Two Polish Gold cross of merit, government issue, made by Wikotr Gontarczyk in Warsaw. 

 Made of tombac gilded plated, enamel in good condition. Original ribbon. Signs of wear as on photographs. A fine government issue example.

Award in the shape of a cross with arms covered with red enamel, sunlight rays in between the arms. The in the centre medallion initials RP (Rzeczpospolita Polska – Republic of Poland).
