Pre-WW2 Polish Cross of Valour Legitimation Card (award document) issued to Lance Sergeant (Plutonowy) Stanisław Kosiński decorated with the Virtuti Militari Cross nr 5679 from the 43rd Rifle Regiment of the Bajończyk Legion (Stationed in Dubno).The document is signed by Major General Adam Nowotny-Lachowicki-Czechowicz, commander of the 13th Infantry Division. A rare early type legitimation card issued with the non-dated Różycki Crosses of Valour. Used condition as on photographs.

Stanisław Kosiński, born on April 13, 1892 in the village of Siedleń, near Wójty, Zamość, Płońsk County, father Józef, mother Bronisława née Kondracki. He attended the school in Płońsk. In 1905, he completed a locksmith apprenticeship and worked until 1910. In March 1910, he emigrated to North America (United States) and worked there in metal factories. In 1918, he joined General Haller’s Army in France as a volunteer. Assigned to the 3rd Company, 1st Polish Rifle Regiment. On April 20, 1919, he came to Poland with Haller’s Army and then took part in the Polish-Bolshevik War as part of the 43rd Rifle Regiment of the Bajończyk Legion. In March 1924, he was transferred to the 3rd Light Artillery Regiment in Zamość, where he served until February 28, 1930. On May 28, 1930, he joined the 28th Light Artillery Regiment in Zajezierze Dęblin. On September 10, 1933, he was transferred to the 33rd Infantry Regiment in Łomża.
