Polish Cross of Valor. Version made of bronze, produced by Jan Knedler’s workshop in Warsaw with the original ribbon (French-made). Version 4 according to Grzegorz Krogulec’s book “Krzyż Walecznych”. A government-commissioned Cross of Valor awarded for acts of bravery during the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-21. Numbered 41808. The soldered ring for the ribbon is typical for crosses numbered above 38000.

The Polish Cross of Valor was awarded for bravery on the battlefield. The award is in the shape of a cross, with a Polish eagle in a crown with outspread wings in the center. The arms bear the inscription “Na Polu Chwały 1920” (On the Field of Glory).

The reverse features a sword and laurel wreath with the inscription “Walecznym” (To the Brave). The upper arm is stamped with the number “41808”.
