Version 9 according to Grzegorz Krogulec’s book “Krzyż Walecznych”, featuring characteristic eagle talons, also known as “Pazurki”. A privately purchased version of the Cross of Valor, awarded for acts of bravery during the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-21.
The Polish Cross of Valor was awarded for bravery on the battlefield. The award is in the shape of a cross, with a Polish eagle in a crown with outspread wings in the center. The arms bear the inscription “Na Polu Chwały 1920” (On the Field of Glory 1920). The reverse features a sword and laurel wreath with the inscription “Walecznym” (To the Brave).
