Description
A small wooden box likely crafted as a fundraising item by former soldiers of General Haller’s Blue Army who became disabled due to their injuries. The box was made in Newark, New York, United States.
The rectangular wooden box features stylized sides and a lid adorned with carved floral decorations in each corner. In the center of the lid, there is a wooden Polish eagle with spread wings and a crown. Below the eagle, there is an engraved inscription: “Wyroby Inwalidów Armji Polskiej Newark N.J” (Crafts by Disabled Veterans of the Polish Army, Newark, N.J.).
