Description
The “Eaglets” badge was awarded to Polish soldiers defending the Eastern Borderlands against Bolsheviks and Ukrainians. The first variant features a gilt center and rays between the eagles.
The badge takes the form of a cross composed of four stylized Polish eagles wearing crowns, with rays between the eagles. In the center, there is a circular shield with the Coat of Arms of Lwów and the inscription around it “To the Defenders of Eastern Borderlands 1919”.
The reverse shows visible craftsmanship, with a threaded post and spinner nut (the nut spinner is loose with worn threading). The nut spinner is marked by the manufacturer.
