pre-WW2 Polish Commemorative Badge “Bene Merentibus” (Well-deserved) 2nd class of the Polish Military Purchases Mission in France with rare Diploma.
Badge issued to Maurice Duboice. Diploma signed by Colonel Otto Alexander Łoyko-Rędziejowski, Chief of the Polish Military Mission in France. Beautiful large colourful diploma to the badge. Designed by the famous Polish artist – Zofia Stryjenska.
On the obverse of the badge there is an eagle without a crown, with outstretched wings upwards. On the shoulders of the badge, around the edge, an inscription from the upper arm, (POLONIAE BENE MERENTIBUS, PARISIORUM, LUTETIA, A.D MCM XX).
The reverse of the badge is concave with a visible light counter, a fastening post visible in the center. At the bottom of the badge, the number 160 is stamped. Round nut, smooth, between the badge and the nut, there is a washer with the inscription (Polish Military Purchase Mission)
