Description
Polish other ranks badge from the period of the Second Polish Republic of the 61st Infantry Regiment (7th Greater Poland Rifle Regiment) stationed in Bydgoszcz, made by Wiktor Gontarczyk’s workshop in Warsaw.
A one-piece die-struck badge, in the form of a stylized eagle resting its talons with broken shackles on a Teutonic shield and a knight’s helmet. The regiment number (61 PP – Infantry Regiment) is visible between the eagle’s head and the shield. Smooth reverse with a delicate counter die visable, in the middle is a threaded post. Round spinner with the maker W. Gontarczyk Warszawa.
Good worn condition as visible on photographs.
