pre-WW2 Polish Army Binoculars Warsaw 1928

A Polish Army issued pre-World War Two binoculars. Made by Henryk Kolberg & Company in Warsaw in 1928. 

 The binoculars are marked “WP” which stands for Wojsko Polskie (Polish Army) and the Polish state eagle. Also the type (6×30 magnification), serial number (11939) and the maker “H.Kolberg i ska, Warszawa”. The serial number indicates that the binoculars were made sometime in 1928.

 The body of the binoculars are in very good condition, the vulcanite plastic imitation leather is complete.

 The vision through the left eye piece tube is clear. The right eye piece tube has a reticule, the vision is clear. 

 Original issued leather straps, including an eyepiece rain cover and button frog. The production of the straps is attributed to A.Chojnacki of Warsaw.

Original leather case, with strap (repaired). The bottom of the case is hand impressed with the number (11939), which is matching the number of the binoculars. On the inside of the lid are remains of the Polish military letter stamp. Inside both extra eyepiece and two yellow filters are intact. The production of the cae is attributed to A.Chojnacki of Warsaw
