Polish Miniature General’s 1952 pattern, with the rank of Division General made in the 1950’s by the Pracownia Czapek & Kapeluszy in Gdańsk.
The top of the cap is round, green cloth, finished with a red braid piping, the cap band is red with a bullion thread general’s zig-zag and two stars on the front. Above the band a luxurious silver bullion thread eagle cap badge (without the crown). Leather chinstrap fastened with a buckle, black peak with a metal rim. Visible sweatband inside.
This cap was made in the Caps and Hats Workshop (Pracownia Czapek & Kapeluszy) in Gdańsk at Węglarska Street, where for many years it served as a decoration for the store and a showcase of the products manufactured by the plant. This is probably the only miniature of the general’s cap that exists. The cap comes with an original period paper bag.
